Work took place over the weekend to lift the reinforcement cage for S05 culvert into place. This was built off line and manoeuvred into place with a 500t crane to minimise disruption on the A9 to the travelling public.
The first major concrete pour took place on Wednesday with 200 cubic metres poured to culvert S04 base. This is the first of three pours that will form the base of the new culvert that will carry the town lade under the new road.
Elsewhere, works are ongoing placing fill to the area around the Crieff Road junction, the main line to the east of Ruthvenfield Road and to the area north of the River Almond.
Works are also progressing well with the replacement of the Newton Burn culvert to the south of McDiarmid Park.
