Phase 4 of the Perth Transport Futures project involves improving conditions for all modes of travel within the city centre core area. This is based on the potential outcomes of reduced traffic levels courtesy of the benefits via the new CTLR which will allow strategic traffic movements to bypass the city centre. Much of this wok will be based on an updated Traffic Model which is currently under development given recent observed changes in travel behaviour. The emphasis on Phase 4 enhancements will be on locking in any benefits on reduced volumes of traffic via the CTLR creating a much improved wider public space environment particularly for more sustainable modes of travel. The details of this work will be taken forward over the next 6 to 12 months.
