Walk Destiny Bridge Event Day
The £150m Cross Tay Link Road project, is due to open in Spring 2025, and at its centre is Destiny Bridge, the new three-span crossing over the River Tay.
Before it opens, the project team is hosting a very special one-off event on 14th and 15th February, allowing members of the public a unique opportunity to walk both through, and over the bridge.
The event will include a short film on the project itself, a guided tour through the middle of the bridge - an area usually closed off to all members of the public - and a walk back over the bridge at your leisure,
As well as this, the event will feature an exhibition on the building of Destiny Bridge, and the opportunity to take photographs of the spectacular countryside from the vantage point of Perth's newest infrastructure. Finally, a commemorative brochure will be offered to all who attend.

About the YMCA:
YMCA provides a variety of youth work services and support programmes to young people aged 8-25, mainly from disadvantaged backgrounds. This includes those who require early intervention, those who are underachieving, those who have addiction issues, offender’s and those who have become homeless.
The YMCA in Perth is passionate about empowering the young people in our area. This empowerment takes many forms, depending on the young person and their stage in life. For some, it is simply providing a safe space to grow and develop. For others, it may be offering employability programmes to help build a positive future, and for others it is meeting and supporting them in their own communities.
Event Restrictions:
This event requires all attendees to walk from the car parking area to the bridge, up the internal staircase and through a narrow corridor to the internal area which although wide and spacious, is windowless. Therefore, it is not suitable for anyone with mobility issues or severe claustrophobia.
Due to the surrounding construction site, the event is unsuitable for children under 12 years of age. In addition, children aged 12 to 18 must be accompanied by an adult. These age restrictions are in place for your safety and we cannot make exceptions on the day. Please do not buy tickets for children under 12 years of age.
What to Wear:
Although almost complete, you are visiting a construction site and as such we ask that you wear sensible, comfortable shoes and warm clothes.
