Mock interviews are a fantastic chance for pupils to experience what a real interview would be like. it offers the opportunity for students to learn how to answer difficult questions, develop interview strategies, improve their communication skills and reduce stress before an actual job interview.

The Activity

Innes Mackintosh, Stakeholder and Communications Manager and Samantha Steven, Business Improvement Coordinator from CTLR Project team were invited along to St Johns Academy in Perth to take part in mock interviews for S4-S6 pupils organised and run by Developing the Young Workforce (DYW) Perthshire coordinator. The morning session saw 50 students participate with each volunteer interviewing 5 pupils each then completing feedback forms each interviewee.

The Result

Allowing students to practice their interview skills in a safe and supportive environment, providing feedback and identifying areas for improvement allowing them boost their confidence going into a real job interview.

The Cross Tay Link Road is Phase Two of the Perth Transport Futures project, which will deliver a more efficient and better-connected transport system and a cleaner city centre environment.
